When you’re loading up for a trip, every inch of space counts. These aluminum 49" crossbars give you the full span to mount more gear side by side. Whether it’s a kayak cradle, cargo box, or ski carrier, the long bars let you spread out your setup so everything fits securely without crowding. The strong aluminum construction and 165-lb weight capacity keep heavy loads steady mile after mile.
A loud roof rack can take the joy out of a drive. The Vortex crossbars use an aero-style shape that helps airflow move smoothly over your roof. Rubberized Vortex strips fill the top channels to cut down on wind drag and vibration while keeping things quiet on the highway. You’ll notice less hum and more of the road sounds you actually want to hear.
This rack doesn’t lock you into one type of setup. The crossbars accept both channel-mount and clamp-on accessories, so your favorite carriers fit right in. That means you can switch between bikes, kayaks, skis, or cargo boxes without needing a new system. It’s a flexible setup that supports almost any adventure plan you have in mind.
Security matters when your gear is sitting on top of your vehicle. These crossbars include integrated plastic locks to help deter theft of channel-mount accessories. If you want even more protection, you can upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4 – sold separately) for added peace of mind during road trips or overnight stops.
These crossbars are built from aluminum that won’t warp or rust, even after seasons of use in changing weather. You get a limited lifetime warranty on the crossbars plus 5-year limited coverage on the legs and fit kit. It’s a setup designed for long-term reliability whether you’re headed across town or across the country.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
